Let's Make Mixtapes

Keeping your childhood pop icons alive…even the ones you thought were dead.

I keep digging into my “best songs ever” giant “mixtape” (still a “playlist” for the newer generations), always afraid that I’m gonna run out of these songs that I can’t live without to talk to you about, but then I realize my mixtape is about 50 hours long…

I was about to discuss with you one of my favorite groups of the 80s, Exposé, but then I realized that Expose didn’t stop in the 80s. They drove straight into the 90s with many hits. For example, one of my all-time favorite songs: “I’ll Never Get Over You (Getting Over Me).” The track was on their 1992 self-titled third studio album. Written by uber-hitmaker, Diane Warren, the song is not just a wordsmith’s dream, it is the perfect song for any break up (or just because it’s on.) I loved it then, and I love it now. (Much like Exposé.) Here now, let me expose you to a little Exposé. (See what I did there?)
