Growing up in my house, you needed to be “a little bit country” (mom) and “a little bit rock ‘n’ roll” (dad), so I got a pretty great musical education. There were artists that were distinctly on either side of that genre, and then there were those artists who straddled the divide easily with a rock spirit and deep country roots. One of my favorites to do that was The Judds.
The group, mother-daughter duo–Naomi and Wynonna, respectively–would score 14 number 1 singles on the Billboard Country charts (22 top 20 singles in total!) Though their public career began in the 80s, they continue (both as The Judds and Wynonna separately) to make music, and we couldn’t be happier.
From their third album, Rockin’ with the Rhythm, here’s the title song that we’ve been humming for hours. Enjoy a little toe-tappin’ moment with us, won’t you?
